The East San Diego County includes El Cajon, (59% of  the area’s parcels,) La Mesa,  Lakeside,  and Santee. Most communities range from 20 to 100 units. Construction is mostly 1960- 1985. Two bedroom units dominate here. Price per unit averages less than north of I 8, partially because these properties average slightly older. East County is one logical trade up market for investors seeking larger complexes.  This region has convenient access to jobs downtown, Mission Valley, Kearny Mesa and South Bay.
